Depression may feel like a pair of murky glasses that might have you viewing the world as a hopeless place. Do I Have Depression?
It is completely normal to experience periods where you feel down, especially if you’ve experienced a recent loss or disappointment. This is part of the human condition. However, if you persistently experience several of the symptoms below for extended periods of time and it causes a disruption in your day to day functioning and relationships, you might be suffering with a form of depression:
- Trouble falling and staying asleep
- Persistent sadness and hopelessness
- Trouble focusing and rememebring things
- Fatigue
- Lack of interest in previously enjoyed activists
- Loss of appetite or excessive appetite
- Lack of energy
- Feelings of guilt
- Feelings of hopelessness
